Sheila Bazleh
Sheila Bazleh was born in Abadan
in Southern Iran. She began her piano studies at the age of
seven. At fifteen she went to England and continued with her
music education. In 1977 Sheila moved to the United States where
she advanced her studies at USC school of music in Los Angeles.
She has taught piano over the years, developing her own unique
piano method. In 1981 Sheila won the best original music award
for the film Duet at LMU Film Festival. She has made several
contributions to feature films and theater as composer and
arranger, including Paramount's Options in 1988 and Theater 40's
Do You Turn Somersaults?, her latest film credit as composer is
Blue Face a multi-cultural satire about foreigners in Los
Angeles. Currently Ms. Bazleh is teaching piano in Los Angeles
and is completing her 8 volume piano method book.
