Sara Daneshpour
Daneshpour played various pieces
for piano in the presence of prominent Iranian musicians
including the singer, Shahram Nazeri, the guest conductor of
Tehran Symphonic Orchestra Loris Cheknovarian and advisor to the
music department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic
Guidance, Farzin Pirouzi-Pey as well as representatives of the
news media.
The 16-year-old pianist, who is student of the University of
Philadelphia in the United States majoring in music, has so far
managed to appeal to a number of the world art circles.
At the ceremony commemorating the 300th anniversary of the
development of piano held in Washington three years ago, the
Iranian teenager played some pieces at the age of 13.
Before the concert, Pirouzi-Pey declared that Daneshpour's
performance is the first stage of the introduction of the
Iranian genius artists from around the world.
In the ceremony, Cheknovarian referred to the young pianist as a
genius and said that a brilliant future is awaiting her.
The outstanding musician hoped to make use of the capabilities
of the teen-aged pianist in his future concerts.
